Mohegan Sports and Entertainment promoted Tom Cantone to president.  The Los Angeles Convention Center named Scott Banks vice president of security and guest services. Banks was director of security and guest services at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Patrick Smart is the new general manager of Taste of LA by Levy at the convention center. Smart was director of sales for Aramark at the Anaheim (Calif.) Convention Center. Ambassador Theatre Group promoted Tyler Bates to director of programming. Bates was general manager of Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre, one of Ambassador’s venues. The Professional Convention Management Association named Marco Bloemendaal global vice president of sales. Bloemendaal was senior vice president of sales for Visit Milwaukee. Spectra named Joe Brauner director of entertainment at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center.  EventBooking named David Daly senior account executive. Aspire Promotes Duffy and Fagan

(Courtesy The Aspire Group) They move up to vice chairman and CEO, respectively, at The Aspire Group Bill Duffy, chief executive officer of The Aspire Group, has been promoted to vice chairman, and Bill Fagan, Aspire chief operating officer, has been promoted to CEO, effective Jan 1. Duffy has sports industry experience that spans three decades. He spent the last spent 7 1/2 years with The Aspire Group in the principal, COO and CEO roles. Fagan joined The Aspire Group as manager of the fan relationship management center at Georgia Tech in 2009 and he has received four promotions since then. Before joining Aspire, Fagan was manager of inside sales with the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and Phoenix Suns.
