(Erik Kabik) Expanded role comes as Vegas venue’s hotel home rebrands AEG Presents has expanded its role at The Joint, the 4,000-seat music venue inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, and will now manage it. Sprint Center Sailing Along Without an Anchor Tenant

Kansas City’s Sprint Center opened in 2007 with a premium mix of 72 suites and about 1,400 club seats. (Getty Images) Loge boxes part of ‘wish list’ for upgrades at Kansas City arena  Sprint Center could add new loge boxes as part of future improvements at the 18,972-seat arena, which has thrived for a dozen years in Kansas City without a primary sports tenant. As of late June, no decision had been made on the project.  AEG would share the cost of the retrofit with the city through the public-private partnership agreement they signed 15 years ago to develop the arena. Under those terms, the city pays for 65% and AEG is responsible for the remaining 35% of capital expenditures, Tinnen said.  Sprint Center… Continue Reading Sprint Center Sailing Along Without an Anchor Tenant

(Courtesy Kansas City Chiefs) Kansas City Chiefs create new all-inclusive ticket package The Kansas City Chiefs have carved out space on Arrowhead Stadium’s club level to create the Foolish Lounge, a new all-inclusive ticket package for the 2019 NFL season. The redeveloped indoor space is part of the existing Foolish Club in the stadium’s east end zone. The name of both premium areas comes from a phrase describing owners of the eight original teams in the American Football League, where the Chiefs first played. That group of eight includes the late Lamar Hunt, whose family owns the Chiefs. There are two 80-person rooms tied to the Foolish Lounge. Sports architect Populous designed the spaces in tandem with Levy, the Chiefs’ premium food provider. The layout includes some high-top seating, a buffet meal, big-screen televisions and views… Continue Reading Arrowhead Stadium Getting Foolish Lounge
