Earlier this year, the 2022 VenuesNow Hall of Honor recipient celebrated her retirement on May 20 after 26 years at The Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado. That night, a major snowstorm hit the region, but the next day Lischick wasn’t enjoying retirement by sleeping in. CAPACITY: 1,600 Country music has a long history in the Windy City, but it has a home thanks to Ed Warm. The Appalachian and southern migration to Chicago in the 1950s established a country music presence in the market. Over the past 25 years, Warm and 26-year business partner Tom DiSanto have provided a Midwest welcome mat for the format through Joe’s on Weed, Joe’s Live, the Windy City Smokeout country music and barbecue festival.
