SUSTAINING SUCCESS

The 2022 VenuesNow/Pollstar Women Of Live special, appropriately timed as anchor content for Women’s History Month in March, celebrates the achievements of venue veterans, influence of top-level executives as well as the disruption of newcomers.
Considering the extra impact of COVID on the live entertainment and sports sectors, this year’s honorees have appropriately shown extra resolve and determination in a business that is already notoriously difficult.

Although a relatively new title for the feature that started in 2007 as Women of Influence at what was then known as Venues Today, the Women of Live special celebrates those working in the core venues, sports and food service sectors while always looking to take the venue industry to new and growing heights, reflecting the ever-evolving nature of the business.

2022’s Women of Live cover honoree is Lucy August-Perna, Live Nation’s director of global sustainability, who this year puts an exclamation point on climate change, an urgent subject that should remain top of mind as one of today’s most pressing matters.
