The Paramount, Huntington, NY
In a market flush with entertainment options, and in the notoriously competitive club space, The Paramount has found a way to stand out and impress. With up to 200-plus events per year, the theater in Huntington, Long Island, New York, which opened in September 2011, has established itself as a premier destination for entertainment of all kinds.
Booked by Live Nation and serviced by Ticketmaster, this year’s calendar is typical for the venue, reporting 148 shows through the Q3 period of 2023 and 165,445 tickets sold to the 1,573-capacity venue, offering multiple configurations. There’s an upper-level dance floor, loges, a mezzanine and a skybar, as well as a 450-capacity VIP founder’s room downstairs.
Membership to the founder’s room, designed to look like a 1920s speakeasy, includes presale and VIP area access, meet and greets, complimentary ticket opportunities, private spaces for parties or meetings and private performances.
Performances at the venue this year include Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Matisyahu, Peter Frampton, Kevin James, Fitz and the Tantrums, Three Dog Night, Nancy Wilson, Tom Jones, Tracy Morgan, Clutch and Beartooth, showing the diverse range of talent able to succeed at the venue.
The Paramount’s history dates to 1927, one of 19 in a chain dotted between Brooklyn and Long Island.
In 2009, a group of investors including music industry veteran Brian Doyle and radio veteran Jim Condron put millions into renovating the theater, which reopened in 2011 with a show by Elvis Costello.
