Mama Kelce’s Cookies
Donna Kelce and Aramark took the bake sale model to a whole new level with Mama Kelce’s Cookies.
Aramark partnered with the most famous mom in the NFL to sell her renowned chocolate chip cookies on Christmas Day 2023 at both GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs played the Las Vegas Raiders, and Lincoln Financial Field, where the Philadelphia Eagles battled the New York Giants. Aramark is the food and beverage partner at both stadiums.
Mama Kelce’s Cookies benefited charity. The Kansas City Chiefs, where Kelce’s son Travis is a tight end, and the Philadelphia Eagles, where her eldest Jason was the center until his retirement earlier this year, selected the receiving beneficiaries: Kansas City-based Operation Breakthrough and Eagles Autism Foundation. Aramark agreed to match the donations dollar for dollar.
On their popular “New Heights” podcast after the game Travis Kelce gushed, “Mom, your famous cookies made it big time this year. You are officially Little Debbie. You’re officially Betty Crocker.”
Kelce has been baking cookies for her sons and their teammates for years, but her chocolate chip cookies gained national attention leading up to Super Bowl LVII in 2023 when she gave them to her sons — who faced off for the title — on opening night of NFL season.
The Aramark culinary teams at both stadiums recreated the recipe and sold the cookies, which were snatched up in minutes. More than 4,000 cookies were sold at Arrowhead Stadium, including Kingdom Lodge, and HeadHouse Plaza at the two club markets at Lincoln Financial Field.
Aramark donated roughly $25,000 to the teams’ charities at the conclusion of the program.
The cookies for a cause created a stir. Digital content on Aramark’s owned social media channels (Aramark and Aramark Sports + Entertainment) received more than 40,000 post clicks, generating more than 440,000 impressions. The program was also promoted on Donna Kelce’s personal social media channels, generating more than 677,000 engagements and millions of impressions.
In traditional media, there were more than 40 online articles and 30 broadcast TV and radio segments. Mama Kelce’s Cookies were promoted in the Eagles Game Day Magazine and featured in national media outlets including People Magazine, CBS Sports, USA Today, and US Weekly.
