FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
The ticketing industry has taken “business as usual” to new heights, with continuing innovation in technology, customer service and efficiency to match the roaring demand for live entertainment in the post-pandemic era. The very concept of tickets has changed to the point that some guests only have to glance or wave a hand at a scanner to gain entry to events of all kinds.
This year’s Ticketing Stars class shows not just the resolve or crisis-management required to navigate any obstacle, but a true love for the industry and what makes it work — quick thinking, an ability to adapt and the leadership required to run a tight ship. This year’s honorees come from different backgrounds and work in different types of venues, but all show a true passion for ticketing.
As in most years, the Ticketing Star Awards are presented in partnership with leading trade organization INTIX, culminating with an awards presentation at INTIX’s annual conference. This year’s awards ceremony takes place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Jan. 30. The Ticketing Star Awards are nominated and voted on by industry peers, making it that much more impactful to those behind the scenes and in the trenches of what is a critically important part of the live events industry.
