“In 2003 Jim Goddard (left) and I presented Tom with a San Jose Sharks jersey. Tom was from Minneapolis and so were Frank Jirik (chief operating officer of San Jose Arena at the time) and Jim (vice president and general manager at the time). Their history with Tom predated their time at San Jose Arena (now SAP Center at San Jose). It was my honor that they trusted me to manage Tom’s events at the building. We got to know each other pretty well. He often called to check on Frank and Jim, complaining to me that he never heard from them anymore.
