The charm of Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh, for AEG Facilities goes far beyond the arena bowl. It involves the adjacent 28 acres ready to be developed into an entertainment district.

AEG Facilities’ five-year management agreement with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League for the 20,000-seat, two-year-old Consol Energy Center takes effect Sept. 1. AEG replaces management firm SMG, which held the previous contract for since-demolished Mellon Arena.
