Arizona State Fair beat the heat with unique offerings.

Although inclement weather slightly decreased attendance at this year’s Arizona State Fair, the debut of its loyalty program was estimated to have raised revenues an additional $187,000.

Held Oct.10-Nov. 2, the Phoenix-based event brought in 1,147,182 visitors, which was a 3-percent decrease from 2013, but more than the annual numbers from 2008 through 2011, according to officials.
