Boomstick Burger, Globe Life Field
When considering ballpark food options for hungry baseball fans, a combination of spectacle, intense flavor and solid value is sure to be a hit. With a deep playoff run heating up, the Boomstick Burger was sure to satisfy fans and spice things up.
Introduced on opening day for the 2023 baseball season, the Boomstick Burger is part gluttonous mess, part family values favorite. A 2-foot Nolan Ryan Beef patty is topped with Texas chili, nacho cheese, jalapenos and crispy onion rings, with the fully loaded Boomstick Burger served on a fresh-baked brioche bun.
The creation follows the Boomstick Hot Dog that was introduced in 2010, following the Rangers’ World Series run. The name comes from the red-hot bat of slugger Nelson Cruz, a beloved slugger who spent eight years with the Rangers.
Although displayed on a large Mongolian grill allowing fans selfie moments with the spectacular creation, the Boomstick Burger is intended to feed up to four people, and costs a reasonable $34.99. Intended to sell out, Delaware North general manager at Globe Life Field Casey Rapp says around 100 are sold per game.
“We are continuously evaluating our operations and customer insights to understand how we can add even more variety – including with local partners – and bring new levels of convenience for fans at Globe Life Field,” said Rapp. “Between the culinary offerings, bolstered retail selection and new fan-facing technology, we set the bar high this Rangers season.”
