Two-Year-Old Company Produces Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, Magic of Lights

Oak View Group, parent company of VenuesNow and Pollstar, has made what it describes as a “strategic investment” in Family Entertainment Holdings, the licensee and producer of touring attraction Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, it was announced today.

With strong ties to Hot Wheels IP owner Mattel, FEH is also the producer of outdoor holiday lights drive-through experience Magic of Lights, which includes Barbie content.

Led by CEO Ken Hudgens, FEH will craft additional family-oriented content and has bookings extending to 2025. In 2024, Magic of Lights will play 1,250 event nights at 25 locations and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live will do 349 performances at 108 events worldwide.

In a release announcing the deal, Francesca Bodie, recently elevated to the new role of COO of OVG, called the investment “an exciting chapter for the company.”

“We see enormous potential,” she said. “The global growth they are already experiencing aligns seamlessly with our vision. We look forward to the collaborative opportunities this partnership brings, both for OVG and our Alliance venues.”

Hudgens hailed the partnership as “a testament to the success” FEH has achieved since its founding in 2021. The company has financial backing by private equity firm Seaport Capital and publicly traded Gray Television.
