It's a pretty big gamble, but Fox Sports was willing to roll the dice on a pricey new system of "turf cams" they hoped would give viewers of Feb. 6th's National Football League (NFL) SuperBowl a one-of-a-kind experience. The pencil eraser-sized cameras were embedded in a dozen locations on the Alltel Stadium field inJacksonville, Fla., in the hopes that they would capture some thrilling action, and maybe even play a part in the game's outcome.
