President |Quantum Sports + Entertainment Group
Chris Gallagher has capitalized on his three decades of marketing experience to form Quantum Sports and Entertainment.
The six-month-old agency focuses on sponsorship sales and business enterprise solutions, and serves as a search firm for hiring sports executives.
Quantum materialized after Gallagher produced record sales for premium seats at Geodis Park, Nashville SC’s new stadium that opened in May.
Over the past three years, Gallagher split roles between the MLS team and Elevate Sports Ventures.
Now, he’s got his own shop with business partners Rob Parker and Dennis Sprenkle.
Quantum Sports is also involved in client representation, the ability to work with existing brands in sports that want to maximize their investment and need some direction and others that need guidance for entering that space.
In addition, they provide consulting services for prospective team owners in the USL, which is exploding in growth with new teams and facilities.
“I’m on the ground, working with those teams on site and know their culture and what they’re looking for,” Gallagher said. “It gives us an edge when we’re recruiting for those organizations.”
Gallagher says the present challenging business climate means consumers expect a seamless process in all aspects of the venue Experience — and for venues to be equipped with the proper tech to pull it all off.
“The continued creation and advancement of ‘business intelligence’ teams will provide an edge for organizations that embrace this movement,” Gallagher said.
Gallagher graduated from Florida State University’s College of Business, before going on to ticket sales with the Florida Panthers and Miami Dolphins, then becoming executive director of premium sales and service for the New York Yankees.
Despite challenges, Gallagher is bullish on the industry.
“I get to wake up every day doing something I love,” he said. “For 25-plus years, I’ve been fortunate enough to work in the growing and ever-changing sports and entertainment industry. The fulfilling days far outweigh the tough ones.”
