2023 Women Of Live: Ann Dunne

Assistant General Manager | U.S. Bank Stadium

Even with only eight regular-season NFL home games scheduled at U.S. Bank Stadium, it’s still difficult to fit everything on the calendar these days.

“2023 will see the most concerts in a calendar year we have had at U.S. Bank Stadium to date and that is very exciting,” said Ann Dunne, who joined ASM Global as assistant GM in 2018. “We will host around 400,000 guests for non-NFL live events in our venue this year. It is awesome to have the opportunity to provide incredible experiences to our patrons, the tours, and artists.”

In her role at the Minneapolis stadium, home to the NFL Vikings, Dunne oversees programming, marketing, communications, private event sales, premium sales, ticket operations, human resources and administration departments.

“In our venue, ladies lead the live event experiences. We book it, promote it, and execute it,” said Dunne. “I am one of a small group of women that book shows at the stadium level in the U.S., so I believe there is opportunity there. I also work with some incredible women on the touring side.” Dunne notes recent highlights including booking her first stadium show at the venue (The Rolling Stones), as well as the Eric Church / Morgan Wallen gig in June that drew 51,000 fans.

Dunne’s resume includes, most recently, time with Comcast, where she oversaw sales and marketing functions for the regional advertising sales division. Before that, she spent six seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Target Center in marketing and communications for the NBA team and venue.

“I have been fortunate to work alongside some very smart women,” Dunne said. “My first boss in the business taught me negotiation skills and I could never have guessed how helpful that advice would be in my different positions over the years. More recently working with a mentor, I was reminded that my experience and ideas are valuable.

“Just knowing someone believes in you can be deeply impactful to your work,” Dunne adds. “My advice to mentees or younger team members is to find and have confidence in yourself, your decisions, and your actions. Also, it is important to always stay positive. During difficult moments, be your own cheerleader or one for others.”
