Barclays Center, Brooklyn, N.Y., hadn’t been open a month when Hurricane Sandy walloped the East Coast and forced the arena to postpone its home opener against the New York Knicks.

 It was a small setback for an arena that’s had a great first month, beginning with a string of eight sold-out Jay-Z shows starting on Sept. 28 and quickly produced into an eight-song album dubbed “Live in Brooklyn” available on iTunes.
