GRANT HALL
Director of Business Services & Strategy | ASM Global

Grant Hall had his sights set on the live events industry from the beginning, first working security for the Cleveland Browns as a freshman in college, and then interning for Spectra supporting the business development team.

“I always wanted to be around the action,” Hall said. “That has since grown into my passion and has led to the exciting career I find myself in today.”

His first role out of college was with ASM Global as a business operations manager for its facilities in New Orleans, which include the Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King Center. Less than four years later he finds himself as director of business services and strategy.

That role proved challenging during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Hall acted as the ASM in-house government stimulus expert, leading to over $100 million in funds for its clients to be used to offset impacts.

He helped create and launch the VenueShield Program, “Project Renaissance,” an effort to reopen 200-plus venues after COVID-19, and the rollout of the KPI reporting system and the live entertainment division within ASM Global.

Working in a “compelling” industry, he said, has given him lifelong memories, including being on the sidelines for the College Football Playoff championship game, the NCAA Final Four and concerts, including AC/DC and The Rolling Stones.

Hall feels he is the right age to understand the demands of many audiences.

“Right now, most entertainment organizations are targeting the millennial audience,” he said. “Lately, they are even starting to target the Gen Z audience with that audience gaining an increasing share of the disposable income that is spent on all things entertainment. Given my age and being right on the edge of both generations, it allows me to better understand the target market and help communicate their expectations to executive leadership.”
