(Courtesy Kansas City Chiefs) Kansas City Chiefs create new all-inclusive ticket package The Kansas City Chiefs have carved out space on Arrowhead Stadium’s club level to create the Foolish Lounge, a new all-inclusive ticket package for the 2019 NFL season. The redeveloped indoor space is part of the existing Foolish Club in the stadium’s east end zone. The name of both premium areas comes from a phrase describing owners of the eight original teams in the American Football League, where the Chiefs first played. That group of eight includes the late Lamar Hunt, whose family owns the Chiefs. There are two 80-person rooms tied to the Foolish Lounge. Sports architect Populous designed the spaces in tandem with Levy, the Chiefs’ premium food provider. Architect Rosser International Closes Doors

(Courtesy Greensboro Coliseum Complex) Atlanta-based firm helped design sports venues, new Greensboro PAC Rosser International, a longtime Atlanta architecture firm that helped design three stadiums in the city plus Infinite Energy Arena in suburban Gwinnett County, has closed its business, according to multiple sources. Fred Krenson, who as a senior vice president was among the top executives at Rosser before retiring in 2017 after 38 years at the firm, confirmed the information. They’ve selected HKS, the architect that designed their spring training facility, to plan a stadium to replace Phoenix’s Chase Field, sources said. The decision to go with HKS was made in the past few months after interviews with multiple sports design firms, according to sources familiar with the process. It’s unclear whether the two entities have a signed contract. HKS Architect Jerry Fawcett Dies

Jerry Fawcett, whose work included Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas, and Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, Calif., died May 29 in Dallas. Texan made mark in colleges and baseball, the sport that held his heart Jerry Fawcett, a sports architect Texas born and bred who is credited with launching the college practice at HKS and solidifying its minor league baseball group, died May 29 in Dallas. He was 71. “Jerry was a true Southern gentleman and a real professional,” said Byron Chambers, a principal and design director at Populous. Chambers worked with Fawcett at HKS before joining Gensler to start a design studio in Dallas with Fawcett and Jonathan Kelly in 2014. Fawcett rejoined HKS in 2018 and worked there until his death.
