Late August debut planned for music club with ties to Mark Cuban
The HiFi Dallas is ready to make some noise.
Texas’ Gary Clark Jr. will kick off things for the 1,000-capacity music club with a three-night stand Aug. 29-31, part of the grand opening lineup announced Monday by Live Nation. More than 20 artists have already been confirmed. Tickets are available at www.TheHiFiDallas.com. More shows and details will continue to be announced.
The club was conceived by Michael Rapino, Live Nation president and CEO, and Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.
The HiFi occupies a former furniture store and warehouse in the city’s Design District, just blocks away from the Mavericks’ home, American Airlines Center, and next to their practice facility. The complete renovation includes design details that reflect contemporary architecture, an immersive sound system, a concert hall with an open floor surrounded by sound-enhanced walls and floors, and luminescent lighting that changes throughout the evening, plus an outdoor patio.
The two-story, 25,000-square-foot concert venue is managed by Live Nation’s Venue Nation. “There is no other venue in the area that provides fans an intimate experience at every show the way The HiFi in Dallas does,” said Sherri Sosa, president of Venue Nation U.S., in a statement accompanying the release of the schedule.
The club will host a job fair Aug. 6-7 for new roles open at the venue.
