This week comedy was king on the Hot Tickets chart. Jack Black and Kyle Gass’ second annual Festival Supreme on Oct. 25 grossed more than $1.1 million in ticket sales alone. This 10-hour event brought together 40 popular comedians and musicians including Comedy Central’s Workaholics and Drunk History, Nick Kroll, T.J. Millar, and Tenacious D. The Goldenvoice- and AEG Live-promoted event gave fans the chance to purchase general admission tickets for $99, or VIP tickets for $250. Just a couple of weeks later, Russell Peters performed for a sold-out crowd at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, Los Angeles with 6,882 fans in attendance. Tickets sold for $50-$70, leading Peters to gross more than $415,000 at the Nov. 8 AEG Live- and Goldenvoice-promoted event. Lastly, Bill O’Reilly and Dennis Miller made it onto our Chart with their Nov. 7 performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. This sold-out stop on the Don’t Be A Pinhead tour allowed fans to see O’Reilly and Miller's unique mix of political commentary and good-natured humor. The Tate Entertainment-promoted event grossed more than $550,000. The tour will continue at the end of February at City National Civic in San Jose.

Fans came out ringside for UFC and Boxing this week. During UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Bisping at Allphones Arena, Sydney on Nov. 8, Rockhold dominated the octagon by winning the fight by submission in the second round. The event grossed just over $1 million in sales with tickets ranging from $50 to $203. The UFC-promoted event saw 9,302 fans in attendance. Meanwhile, Bernard Hopkins vs. Sergey Kovalev fought for the light heavyweight title on the same night. The unanimous victory by Kovalev brought in more than $1 million in ticket sales at Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall. The Golden Boy Promotions and Main Event-promoted event saw nearly 7,500 fans pay $50 to $300 for tickets.
