Travel policy among issues that events pros discuss with legislators About 120 exhibition professionals from more than 60 organizations met with members of Congress at the sixth annual Exhibitions Day on June 4-5 on Capitol Hill in Washington, talking with legislators about policy issues that affect trade shows, conventions and other gatherings. Steven Walker, executive director of city wide sales at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, attended Exhibitions Day for the first time this year. “I hope to make it a part of my travel schedule moving forward,” he said. “Being a first-time participant, I wanted to be a fly on the wall to see what happens, but I was able to jump in and represent the industry as a whole.” Walker met with Nevada senators and representatives, including Sens.
