The reasons the 17,000-capacity arena is doing so well, according to its operators, are its state-of-the-art sound, lighting and stage technology and the unique partnerships between major regional and global firms, as well as an impressive lineup of acts. The building officially opened June 6 with a performance by Canadian comedian Russell Peters. Maroon 5 played to a sellout crowd June 14. Other international artists the arena hosted recently were The 1975 (Aug. 14) and Westlife (Aug. 29).
