Denise Gonzales has been named to the new position of director of booking for the 12,000-capacity Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, ASM Global announced Monday.
Gonzales makes the move from ArenaNetwork, where she was director of booking and entertainment. Before that, she spent eight years at Live Nation, where she began her career as a booking intern.
“We are pleased to welcome Denise to Ontario and look forward to her expertise in managing our entertainment calendar.” said Michael Krouse, regional vice president of ASM Global, in a statement announcing Gonzales’ hiring. “Her vast experience and contacts in the entertainment industry, in addition to her knowledge of our region in Southern California, will ensure we will continue and exceed our guests’ expectations for a full calendar of concerts, family shows, and sporting competitions.”
During her time at Live Nation, Gonzales was booking assistant for House of Blues West Hollywood and Anaheim, and tour project manager soon afterward. She managed bookings of events in music genres including rock, pop, hip-hop, metal, punk rock, emo, Latin, country, and J-Rock, as well as nontraditional, nonmusical events.
She went to ArenaNetwork in 2017, where she drove more content to member arenas across the country.
Box office reports to Pollstar for Toyota Arena, about 40 miles east of Los Angeles, show an average gross of $196,204 for events dating back to 2008. Those events have sold an average of 4,297 tickets.
