(Getty Images) Drive-in shows, Down Under concerts power a live scene on the brink of returning Drive-in theaters or temporary concert sites erected in parking lots remained a staple venue option for live entertainment during the first half of 2021. The City National Grove of Anaheim (California) was early out of the gate with drive-in opportunities for live music fans after the pandemic began. It held its first outdoor drive-in event last summer in July; since then, 27 headliners have performed 52 total concerts in the parking lot.
