Ted King Joins MSG Entertainment Corp.

Ted King has worked on attractions at the Warner Bros. World Theme Park in Abu Dhabi and Universal Studios theme parks. As president of creative content and studio productions, he’ll lead MSG Sphere Studios Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. on Friday announced that 35-year entertainment industry veteran Ted King will join the company as president of creative content and studio productions effective June 22  and will lead MSG Sphere Studios. MSG Sphere Studios is a bicoastal creative studio focused on developing compelling content for MSG Sphere, the world’s first large-scale venue to combine cutting-edge technology with multisensory storytelling to deliver fully immersive experiences. King will oversee the creation of a full slate of content for MSG Sphere, as well as other commercial clients, and design immersive experiences for MSG Sphere, including using its fully programmable LED exterior and its main atrium. VN Conference: Jim Dolan Goes Deep on MSG Sphere With Irving Azoff

James Dolan, executive chairman and CEO of The Madison Square Garden Co., and Irving Azoff, chairman and CEO of The Azoff Co., sat down for an illuminating conversation with broad implications for the live entertainment industry to begin the VenuesNow Conference at the Conrad New York Downtown on Tuesday morning. The conversation focused almost exclusively on MSG Sphere, the visionary new line of facilities by MSG Co. Vogt Gets Key Role With MSG Spheres

Former Disney Imagineer will help shape content creation tech for new arenas The Madison Square Garden Co. has picked Jennifer Vogt to help with content development for its new MSG Sphere entertainment venues. As president of creative content and productions, Vogt will also oversee strategy and development for MSG’s “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” and the Radio City Rockettes. Vogt, according to the company, “will work with the MSG Sphere construction and technology teams to develop a set of tools, called the ‘palette,’ that will make content creation for MSG Sphere an intuitive experience, enabling artists, creators and educators to maximize the potential of the venue’s immersive technologies.” Vogt comes to MSG from Walt Disney Imagineering, where she was show design and production executive for the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction at Walt Disney Co. theme parks.
